Community Service at LaGrange Academy begins in Kindergarten.  Our students begin visiting Poplar Creek Nursing Home once a month in September of every school year.  But it is not just a visit; our Kindergarten teachers educate our students on community service, what it is all about and why it is so important that we give back.  It also strengthens their sense of civic engagement and community, and to help them achieve their educational, developmental and social goals.

The residents are so excited every month when it is time for the class to visit.  The students sing to the residents accompanied by LaGrange Academy’s music teacher Jennifer Johnson.  A wonderful experience is enjoyed by all.
