Welcome

The mission of Lagrange Academy includes emphasizing strong moral and ethical values. In order to do this, we use The Path of the Warrior. This set of values and skills helps to shape students’ present lives as well as prepare them to exist in their futures in extraordinary ways. You will find lessons being taught to our youngest Warriors up to our graduating Seniors that encompass these core values.

Fine Arts

LaGrange Academy recognizes the magnitude of providing environments for creativity and self-expression. The visual and performing arts programs of the Academy begin in Kindergarten and continue through upper school. We believe that all students should be encouraged to grow in their creativity and learn to appreciate the arts.  We feel this is essential for creating a well-rounded education.

The athletic program at LaGrange Academy is a wonderful tradition that has spanned the past 50 years.  We pride ourselves on teaching teamwork in the athletic setting.  We encourage everyone to participate with the hope that the athletic experience will be a valuable extension of school life. Sportsmanship, discipline, and community are the primary qualities the programs emphasize.

College Counseling

Our College Counseling Office provides an informative and nurturing environment for the transition from high school to college. In addition to helping LaGrange Academy seniors identify and research potential colleges, our college counselor and the registrar will also direct academic advising and course selection beginning in the spring of each academic year.

In addition to attending the annual PROBE Fair at LaGrange College, each year LaGrange Academy Upper School students visit various colleges. By participating in this trip each year of high school, students will have the opportunity to visit approximately 20 colleges before beginning the college application process. While on the campuses, students will attend information sessions and walking tours. The students will also eat on campus as often as they can in order to observe college life in a more informal way. These schools will allow the students to view a variety of different college environments. Even if a student is not currently considering one of these schools, the trip is still beneficial. By visiting many different schools, our goal is that by the time students apply to college they will have a better sense of what type of college they would like to attend and a feeling of what college life may be like.
